William E. WINFIELD, SR.

Nov. 8, 1923 - July 4, 2005
William E. Winfield Sr., 81, of Farmington, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at his home following a brief battle with cancer. He was the husband of Gladeen Mae (Simily) Winfield, to whom he was married for 65 years.

He was born in Caledonia, Mo., on Nov. 8, 1923. During World War II, Mr. Winfield served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the VFW. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Winfield worked 32 years for El Paso Natural Gas Co.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Bill Winfield and wife, Linda, of Farmington; daughter, Betty and husband, James Farley, of Farmington; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
