Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, Sep 29 1999 - W. Taylor Highley, 94, Windsor, died Sunday evening, September 26, 1999, at golden Valley Hospital in Clinton. He was born October 5, 1904, in Sweet Springs, the son of Edward Lewis Highley and Olive (White) Highley. On July 2, 1927, in Sedalia, he married Minnie Habekost, who survives. He worked 26 years for International Shoe Factory in Windsor. He also worked for Town and Country in Sedalia for 20 years. He owned and operated Highley's General Appliances in Windsor for several years. He was a member of the Windsor First Christian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Morely Ann Rutherford, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a step-great-granddaughter; a sister, Maude Berry, Bentonville, Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Earl, Charles, Raymond, Harry, Cliff and Lee. Funeral services will be Thursday, at Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in Laurel Oak Cemetery.
