Mt Sterling Advocate
March 7, 1962
William Highley, 75, retired carpenter of Camargo, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Mary Chiles Hospital following a long illness. Born in Bath County, he was a member of the Church of God. Mr Highley was devoted to his family and church and was admired and respected by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillie Carter Highley; three
daughters, Mrs Artis Clark and Mrs. Bass Banks, Cincinatti; Miss
Iva Mae Highley, at home; five sons, Foy Highley, at home;
Edward and Chester Highley, Mt Sterling; Hershell Highley,
Dayton, Ohio; and Marion Highley, Lebanon, Ohio;' as sister,
Mrs. Nannie Combs, Williamstown; two brothers, Russell Highley,
Mt Sterling; and Stanely Highley, Bath County, 11 grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p. Tuesday at the Eastin-Riche Funeral Home by the Rev. Herb Moore and the Rev. Orville Easterling. Burial was in Macpelah Cemetery.
