HENDERSON, Ky. -- Timothy L. McElyea, 41, of Santa Paula, Calif., formerly of Henderson, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at St. John's

Hospital in Oxnard, Calif., of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Oct. 5, 1999, in Oxnard.

He was a special procedure supervisor in the radiology department of West Hills (Calif.) Regional Medical Center . He had been an X-ray technician at Methodist Hospital and a former Henderson city policeman.

He was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his mother, Shirley Tooley of Henderson; father and stepmother, Louis and Connie McElyea of Venice, Fla.; two sisters, Brenda Jo Bush and Shelby Keister, both of Henderson; a half sister, Michele McElyea of Venice; two half brothers, Brian Tooley of Henderson and Kevin McElyea of Tampa, Fla.; his grandmothers, Margaret Johnston of Henderson and Joyce McElyea of Willow Springs, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Heart Association.
