SAMUEL A. GRISHAM
Part of obituary-
"He was converted when he was about 13 years old and united with the Baptist
Church at Sinking Creek and lived a consistent Christian life. He was not only a
true husband and faithful father, but cared for his granddaughters the same as
his own children. His loss is deplored by all who know him. No man stood higher
in the estimation of the people of the community than did Uncle Sam Grisham.
Funeral services were held in Sinking Creek Church by Rev. W. R. Russell in the
presence of a large assemblage of relatives and old neighbors and friends who
had come to pay a last tribute of respect and take a last look at his mortal
remains. He was laid to rest in Sinking Creek cemetery in sight of his old home
where had lived so long."
