May 30, 1962
Russell Highley, 70, retired carpenter, died of a heart attack
at 2 a.m. Monday at his home on West Locust St., A native of
Bath county, he was a son of the late William and Nancy McClain
Highley, and a member of the Christian Church. Devoted to his
family he was admired and respected by many friends throughout
this section.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs., Eliza Ann Pergram Highley two daughters; Mrs. Colonel Warren, Mt. Sterling; and Mrs James Clark, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., three sons, Bradley Highley, Richmond; Charles Edward and Russell Highley Jr., Mt. Sterling; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Combs, Williamstown; a brother Stanley Highley, Bath County ; and 7 grandchildren.
Burial was in Macheplah Cemetery.
