Deceased Name: OBIT - NICHOLS, ROBERT WAYNE
Robert Wayne Nichols, 75, of Goodview, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 1, 2008. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Wayne Nichols; his parents, Zeke and Ruth Nichols; brothers, Billy and Alton Nichols; sister, Eunice Guilliams; and special brothersin-law, John Moran and Bill Sigmon. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from the Maintenance Division at Hollins College. Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris H. Nichols; his children, Larry Nichols, Tammie Bramlett and husband, "Buck," Darryl Nichols and wife, Julie, Mark Nichols and wife, Debbie, his grandchildren, his Pride and Joy, Jacklyn Bramlett, Anthony Nichols, Levi Nichols and Parker Nichols; brothers, Gordon Nichols and wife, Annie, and Burton Nichols and Linda; sisters, Annie Moran, Tressie Sigmon, Shirley Mauk and husband, John, and Flossie Moran and husband, George. Services will be at Oakeys South Chapel, 12 noon Wednesday, March 5, 2008. The Rev. Greg Criswell and the Rev. Nick Schaffer will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Vale Cemetery in Floyd County, Va. The family will receive friends at Oakeys South Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Arrangements by Oakeys South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
