Ralph R. Highley, 93
A Jefferson Township, Huntington County, farmer most of his lifetime, Ralph R. Highley, 93, died at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Home at Warren, where he had resided since November 2000.
He had resided in rural Warren and attended the schools in Jefferson Township in Huntington County.
He was born in Grant County Aug. 6, 1908, a son of Carl C. and Nina Walker Highley. His marriage at Hartford City on Aug. 6, 1931 was to Opal E. Shelton, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Clarence of Warren; a daughter, Mrs. James (Agatha) Miller of Warren; two sisters, Freida Banter of Florida and Opal Hardin of Warren; a brother-in-law, Floyd Shelton of Hartford City; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A brother and a granddaughter are deceased.
Services at 10 a.m. Friday will be at Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, in Warren with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Warren.
Visitation hours at the funeral chapel will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
