Deceased Name: OBIT - NICHOLS, MAYNARD EZEKIEL
Maynard Ezekiel Nichols, 82, of Salem, died on Monday, December 12, 2005. he was born in Copper Hill, Va., on March 1, 1923. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sadie Nichols. He is also survived by his daughter, Linda and her husband Lynn Lucas; his grandson, Daryl Lucas and his wife Patty; his granddaughter, Debbie Sandridge and her husband Randy; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Wilburn and his wife Hazel, Howard and his wife Lorane; sisters, Hettie Dunford, Clarcie and her husband A.B. Hoback, Elsie Isom. He was predeceased by his sisters, Hazel Wood and Irene Hancock. He ran Nichols Market for many hears. He was an active member and deacon in the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Salem Chapel on Wednesday, December 14, 11 a.m. with Pastor Harvey Anders and Pastor Charles Russell with interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
