Deceased Name: Linda Vandiver Bailey

ISLAND - Linda Vandiver Bailey, 45, of 360 Morris Road, Island, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at Washington Hospital in Washington, Pa. She was born in Island, was an internationally recognized soft-sculpture artist, operated VanDiver Sales on Morris Road in Island and was a member of Island United Methodist Church. She was president of the PTA at Mattingly School in Owensboro, was a juried member of the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program and was a member of Murray State University's rifle and pistol team while attending the university. Her father, B.G. "Bob" Vandiver, died Sept. 1, 1994.

Survivors include a son, Michael Bailey, and a daughter, Angelia Bailey, both at home; her mother, Faye Hocker Vandiver of Island; two brothers, Tony Vandiver of Island and Joe Vandiver of Calhoun; a sister, Debbie Dunn of Calhoun; and nieces and nephews.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial in Island Methodist Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Mattingly Program, 1300 Booth Ave., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
