Deceased Name: OBIT WOODS, IRVIN THOMAS
WOODS, Irvin Thomas ("Taz"), 71, of Bent Mountain, passed away Friday, September 24, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a lifetime member of the Bent Mountain Fire Department and Rescue Squad. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Nichols Woods of Bent Mountain; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Mae Woods Myers and Harry Carl ("H.C.") Myers of Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert ("Bobby") Sr. and Linda Gale Woods of Copper Hill; four grandchildren, Stacy Leigh Woods, Robby Woods Jr., Connie Woods and Cathy Woods, all of Copper Hill. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel in Floyd with the Rev. Roger C. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Restvale Cemetery in Copper Hill. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd, where the family will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday evening from 7 to 9. The Bent Mountain Fire and Rescue Squad Members will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bent Mountain Fire and Rescue Squad.
