Frank A. Grisham Dies in Arkansas
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Clinkingbeard Chapel here for Frank
A. Grisham, 92, lifelong resident of Gainesville, with Rev. Wiley McGhee
officiating.
Mr. Grisham died Wednesday in the Medical Center at Calico Rock, Ark, after a
long illness.
A former county treasurer, he had taught in county schools and had been engaged
in the milling and mercantile business. He was a member of the Gainesville
Christian Church.
He was born at Gainesville on Oct 29, 1880, the son of Martin V. and Catherine
Eaton Grisham. He was married on Nov. 3, 1907 to Cona Luna who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs Maxine Johnson, Bourbon, and Mrs Fern
Wallace, of Mountain Home, Ark.; two sons, Earl and Loran, both of Bakersfield
Calif.: one sister Mrs Myrtle Barnes, Riverside Calif.; ll grandchildren, 17
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. The pallbearers were Charles Hannaford,
Grover Johnson, Larry Grisham, Joe Watson, Gene Johnson and Rex Johnson.
