Over the years I have collected many obituaries from many different resources.  I either received them from family members, emails, letters or websites.

ELSIE GERTRUDE BLAYLOCK

Elsie Gertrude Blaylock of Leadington, passed away February 16, 1893 at Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital at the age of 95. She was born April 15, 1887, in St. Francois County to the late John L. and Carrie (Highley) Mitchell. She was preceded by her husband, Albert M. Blaylock and one brother, John.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret (Mrs. Raymond) Powell of Flat River; one son-in-law, Raymond (Diddle) Powell of Flat River; one sister, Marie Mitchell of Flat River and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Blaylock was the oldest living member of the Esther United Methodist Church.

Services were Friday, February 18 at 2 P.M. at Caldwell Chapel with Rev. Allen Ladage officiating assisted by Rev. Don Kuehle.

Interment was in the St. Francois Memorial Park under direction of Caldwell Funeral Home.
