Coleman R. Rich, 87, of Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center died there Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005. He was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Bremen to Claude H. and Pearlie M. Boyken Rich and retired from Yellow Cab Co. of Owensboro as a cab driver after 38 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening and playing guitar. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Jean LaCombe; brothers Carman Rich, Raymond Rich, Ernest Rich and James Rich; and a sister, Josephine Rich. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary E. Rich; two sons, Kevin Rich of Indianapolis and Michael Rich of Evansville; a daughter, Deborah French of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, David Rich of Mesquite, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Ruth H. Snyder Russell of Owensboro. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro with the Rev. Emil Herzog officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Online messages of condolence may be left at www.haleymcginnis.com.
