Deceased Name: CHESTER E. "CHET" HIGHLEY
Chester E. "Chet" Highley, 88, Kansas City, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at St. Joseph Health Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Park Lawn Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Carondelet Home Health Care Services.

Mr. Highley was born June 5, 1911, in Sweet Springs, MO, and had spent most of his life in the Kansas City area. He was an over-the-road truck driver for several companies before retiring from Wilson Freight Lines in 1974. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 41. He was a WWII Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marie Highley, of the home; two daughters, Charlene Walsh, Quincy, IL, Frances Elaine Burkard and her husband, Bud, Kansas City, KS; one son, Billy Joe Highley, Peculiar, MO; one brother, Carl Highley and his wife, Maxine, Emma, MO; three grandchildren, Nicole Highley, Jesse Highley, Anthony Arnone and his wife, Michelle; and one great-grandson, Devin Arnone. He will be sadly missed by his family.
