Deceased Name: Obituary: Boyd Burnham, former Marin sheriff's deputy
Boyd F. Burnham, 77, died April 15, 1998. An adored father and loving husband, Frank was a long-time Mill Valley resident, moving to Sonoma nine years ago. He was a former Marin County deputy sheriff, a member of the California Peace Officers Association, and the innovator of "The Burnham Decision."

Frank was a World War II merchant seaman and survivor of the Murmansk Mission, for which he recently received medals of honor from the Russian government for heroism during that mission.

Frank was the loving husband for 52 years of Mariann Burnham and the adored father of Linda Chapin, both of Sonoma.

No services will be held. Donations may be made in Frank's name to the Hanna Boys Center. Bates, Evans & Fehrensen are in charge of arrangements.
