Deceased Name: OBIT - WALTERS, ARLENE NICHOLS
WALTERS, Arlene Nichols, 75, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 5, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Maude Nichols, an infant son, James Everett Walters, a sister, Audrey Murphy, and a brother Arthur Nichols. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Everett Ray Walters,; daughters & sons-in-law, Janet and Allen Camper, Vinton, Phyllis and Jerry Paulin, Greenwood, Indiana; son, David Walters, Roanoke; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Radford and Aberdeen Radford, both of Salem, Lucille Shilling, Vinton. Funeral Services will be conducted 12 Noon Saturday, September 8, 2001 at Simpson-Tharp Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Jeff Gardner. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Simpson-Tharp Funeral Home. (366-0707)
