Norma Jean KONTOUR KOEPKE

Deceased Name: Norma Jean Koepke
LAKEVIEW - Norma Jean Koepke, 66, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memphis Church of Christ in Memphis with Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis by Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis.

Mrs. Koepke was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Limon, Colo., to Mildred L. Johnson Kontour and the late Frank T. Kontour. She grew up in Deer Trail, Colo., and graduated from Deer Trail High School in 1957. She married Daniel L. Koepke on Aug. 10, 1958, in Deer Trail.

Mrs. Koepke worked as a real estate appraiser and a secretary in Deer Trail. She was also a lifeguard instructor. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Deer Trail, where she was active in the Baptist missionary group. Mrs. Koepke was also a member of the Deer Trail Fire Auxiliary. Upon moving to Lakeview three years ago, she became a member of Memphis Church of Christ.

The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Seah Lim, his nurse, Kolleen Burris, Leotia Jansen and Kathy Ivy for their exceptional care.

Survivors include her husband, Dan; her mother; three children, Glenn Koepke and wife Leslie of Dameron Valley, Utah, Leann Voyles and husband Bruce of Canyon and Wade Koepke and wife Lisa of Lakeview; eight grandchildren, Kurtis Koepke, Bradley Koepke, Susan Koepke, Walt Koepke, Luke Koepke, Wyatt Voyles, Ben Koepke and Walker Voyles; a brother, Floyd Kontour and wife Beverly of Englewood, Colo.; and a former daughter-in-law, Sandy Koepke of Deer Trail.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the Church of Christ Benevolence Fund, 1625 N. 18th, Memphis, TX 79245 or Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
